RESo/aRT
For Resort 2015 art and fashion once again collide, this time in a sartorial explosion of color and pop-ish prints that are guaranteed to liven up any grey winter day.
When clothes are inspired by art do they become art in their own right? We think so… but you be the judge.
Multiverse
With all the glitter and shine in some of my favorite Fall 2014 presentations I couldn’t help but think of them as great to wear into outer space. I can imagine many of these looks from Marco de Vincenzo, No. 21 and Rodarte in a galaxy far far away…
Bad Ass
Maybe its because I’ve spent more time in Brooklyn lately, but I’ve definitely wanted to play with some Bad Ass looks. For me, it comes down to black and gold with a great tuxedo jacket. I’ve been in love with all of the mirrored letter hats for ages too. Of course, mine says “Vogue” ; )
Picasso Pillows
Shine On …
Summertime is here, finally! After such a long and cold winter in New York, I can’t imagine a better way to step into the warm weather than with something that shines. Whether pointy, flat or shiny these are my favorite options to put some Shine On your feet for summertime.
Over-the-Top Pucci Pop
I have been obsessed with the looks from Pucci spring/summer 2014 for some time. The beading detail on the dresses, cardigans and jackets is mind-blowing… and the colors are magnificent. The perfect pop/tribal mash-up that makes my heart beat like a synth drum.
The Lips I Love
What can I say? I love all the lips this year! The closed-mouth lip prints from YSL and soft pouty prints from Stella McCartney. Also, some lip-smacking accessories come from Delfina Delettrez, Lulu Guinness and Solange Azagury-Partridge.
The Doll of Wall Street
The concept for this look materialized after watching the Wolf of Wall Street. This movie’s modern take on fiscal over-indulgence, debauchery and the general idea that “too much is never enough” immediately spurred memories of films from the 80’s and 90’s that dealt with the same subject matter. Just follow four easy steps.
Always Coca Cola
Liu Wen is staying refreshed with “Disco Cola” from Ashish. Enjoy!
Guinevere’s “About Face”
While shooting with Guinevere Van Seenus I couldn’t resist snapping a profile. She has that look of a classic icon, I could imagine her face on a coin.
